Re: AISRI Lakota language textbook link broken

Hi Carpallo, The third book and the third audio CD are intended for older children, and they are also great for adults. I, as an adult, started learning with the LLC book 1 and 2 anyway since they come with audio CDs, and thus you learn the correct pronunciation ...

... that I bought. Perhaps the ortography does not match the NLD but I find it quite usefull. The first book of the LLC seems to be intended for children. What is your opinion about the rest? Which is in your opinion the best way to learn Lakota? Thank you very much for your concern. Best regards.

Re: NLD-O Feedback Needed

... correctly, but for those who don’t have access to the native speaking communities a most important part of the learning process is lost. Re: LLC Page

Mitákuyepi,

Children songs - or songs at all - are a great thing when learning a language. They give you repetition, repetition, repetition - and all the time you're having fun. I wish I had got them much earlier, would have helped greatly with the numbers. ;)

I was very surprised by and recommend the new Lakota Children's Songs CD that is available in the LLC catalog. Even if you're an adult, and you don't exactly walk down the street everyday singing children's songs, it's actually pretty good to listen ...
