LLC Page

Hi,

I just placed an order for the Level 3 Lakota Language Text book.

Will ( at LLC ) explained to me that a CD will be coming out soon with the level 3 text book.

The url for the LLC is http://www.lakhota.org/

I think it is better to order right from LLC as they ship all over the world, where maybe places like Amazon do not.

If you get a chance, please check out the LLC page and see all the nice things they are selling.

While I was at it, I ordered a lot of other things, including the children stories.

These stories are written in both Lakota and English and you can get a CD to go with them ( which I did)

I think this is a great way to further learn Lakota.

Thanks
NancyD
Warm Regards,
Nancy

I hope to be getting the book my self soon, I need to exercise my brain more in this are. I have been a little stale and slow lately due to work and school.

I was very surprised by and recommend the new Lakota Children's Songs CD that is available in the LLC catalog. Even if you're an adult, and you don't exactly walk down the street everyday singing children's songs, it's actually pretty good to listen to as an adult Lakota language learner. Good elementary vocabulary/content set to memorable melodies/songs. It is good listening comprehension practice regardless of your proficiency level.

Yeah, you know you want it. ;)

I bought the CD of the children songs and like them very much. I think Jan sings one of them too. :)

Ha, so I'm not the only one who's into the children's songs! A great idea. :good:

Mitákuyepi,

Children songs - or songs at all - are a great thing when learning a language. They give you repetition, repetition, repetition - and all the time you're having fun. I wish I had got them much earlier, would have helped greatly with the numbers. ;)

Tókša akhé!
